Subject: Proven strategies for facilitating groups
Preheader: Short facilitation course starts soon

Dear %user.name_f%,

When I first started working in a facilitators role I frequently felt out of my depth — I lacked confidence.

But over the last 20+ years leading groups, my confidence has grown.

How?

Of course, practice comes into it.

But it is not the only thing that helped.

I started to look at all the steps involved in facilitation, and why each was needed.

And I learned how to layer Nonviolent Communication over the top of what I was learning.

I believe doing these two things together has hugely boosted my abilities as a facilitator.

Have you ever wondered about facilitating your own group?

Maybe that's at home, work, church, school, or to share your passion for Nonviolent Communication.

Whatever group you find yourself facilitating, even with the best intentions it can be tricky if you don't know how to do it.

So how can you learn the skill?

Breakdown facilitation into bite-sized chunks.

In a well facilitated group, there is way more going on than meets the eye.

It helps to be taught a bunch of useful facilitation techniques AND have them demonstrated in real-time.

Which is what I’ll be doing in my upcoming course, Jump in Now: Facilitation Basics.

I’ll cover -

  • What to do when people start sharing for longer than you have time for
  • What and how to track in your sessions
  • When to be transparent with your group about what’s going on for you
  • Ways to keep your online workshop engaging

Plus more.

It’s taking place on Thursdays at 4PM Pacific (California) Time for 4 weeks, starting 16 November.

And if you sign up before Thursday, October 26, you’ll get 20% off the registration price. Plus NVC Library members get an additional 20% off that! Find out more about the Library here

This course is ideal for anyone wanting to get started facilitating a Nonviolent Communication group. And it would support people finding themselves in other facilitator roles - whether formally or informally.

You can expect to walk away with my proven practices.
