Believe it or not, I loved shoveling snow because of its physicality and the opportunity to be outside with all my neighbors – and the feeling of simple satisfaction from seeing how my labor made it easier for me and my mail carrier to navigate. The quiet that snow brings is perhaps what I love most about it. It seems like the entire world has become quiet except for...

How do you navigate uncertainty
with Miki Kashtan

In times of high stakes and uncertainty, it's common to get caught up in imagining various scenarios and potential outcomes. The challenge is to resist the urge to speculate and instead concentrate on the facts. Miki Kashtan shares how staying in the present and acting on what is currently known provided a practical and grounded approach that allowed her to stay present throughout her sister, Inbal Kashtan’s, journey with cancer.

Mourning Rita Herzog

With sadness in our hearts, we are sharing that Rita Herzog, one of the most influential and significant people in the history of the Center for Nonviolent Communication, recently passed away in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio (United States).

Rita was an early leader of CNVC who ran the organization literally from her dining room table in the 1980s and 1990s, all before the existence of the internet and without the type of support and resources that exist today.

As a longtime Certified Trainer – even before such a title existed! – she offered NVC training in Japan, Brazil, Mexico, many parts of Europe, and throughout the U.S.
